ÚGI filters
The filter is suitable for equipping hydrogeological boreholes and deep pipe wells designed for use in water supply (drinking water certification), as well as for other purposes. It is also used, to a large extent, in remediation work, which includes pumping of contaminated groundwater and contaminants in free liquid phase from the rock environment. The best environment for the application of ÚGI filters is water-bearing gravel and sand.
It is a skeleton filter with a supporting frame of vertical steel bolts, terminated with circular flanges made of polypropylene.
The transverse frame is designed as an assembly of polypropylene lamellae, which are slipped on a rod frame. When selecting a different number of vertical bolts, it is possible to compose different diameters of filters in the shape of a rounded polygon.
An advantage of this filter is a large cross section of stream (about 42% of surface), resistance to corrosion, incrustation and most chemical substances (petroleum substances and their mixtures, chlorinated hydrocarbons, organic solvents, acids, lye, etc.). The wedge-like hydrodynamic shape of individual lamellae is 4 mm thick on the inlet side and 2 mm on the inner side. This construction of the filter ensures excellent hydraulic parameters and thanks to it the filter slots do not become clogged.
The materials used for the production of the filter have a health safety certificate and are then usable in water supply.
The length of the filter section is 1,000 mm. It is possible to adjust the length as necessary.
