EIA – environmental impact assessment
It means an assessment of impacts of prepared projects on the environment and a concept of projects stipulated as compulsory in Annex No. 1 of Act No. 100/2001 Coll.
Only a holder of authorisation of the Ministry of the Environment (MoE) of the Czech Republic can prepare EIA documentation.
The method of preparation is set forth by Act No. 100/2001 Coll., on the environmental impact assessment and on amendment of certain related laws (the Act on the environmental impact assessment).
The EIA process takes place in 5 steps – a notification, an identification procedure, documentation, an opinion and a final standpoint.
We offer to prepare:
- A notification (including a notification of a below-limit project);
- Documentation; and
- An opinion
Part of the work being performed is also participation in the discussion on the concept and final text of the notification (documentation) with the relevant administrative authority and a preliminary discussion with other administration authorities concerned.
The objective of this procedure is timely communication with all parties concerned to incorporate their comments into the notification (documentation) and thus to eliminate any possible disagreement about the implementation of the project.
Part of our work is also a provision of specialised studies required by the authorities of state administration (a dispersion study and an expert opinion pursuant to the Clean Air Act as subsequently amended, a study of impacts on human health, a noise study, a study of fauna and flora, etc.). These specialised studies are supplied by authorised persons.
