Project: Delivery of Water-System Equipment for the Areas Lacking Drinking Water in Mongolia
The project was assigned by the contractor, the Czech Republic - the Ministry of Industry and Trade, to the company GEOtest Brno, a.s. by the "Decision on Awarding the Public Contract of 18.7.2006" and is in compliance with the bilateral interest of the development of mutual relations between the Czech Republic and Mongolia, with the conclusions of the meeting of the Czech - Mongolian Mixed Committee and with the negotiation of both of the parties.
For the Czech party, the Administrator's site is The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic; for the Mongolian party, it is the Ministry for Construction and Urban Development of Mongolia. For the Czech party, the implementing coordinator is GEOtest Brno, a.s.; for Mongolian party, it is the company Mongolgeotest, Co., Ltd. in Ulaanbaatar.
Basic goals of the project:
Year 2006
A work implementation project was prepared on the basis of discussions held in Mongolia with administration authorities and interested organisations and also according to the methodical findings acquired during the documentation of water sources in the selected somons of Tov, Dundgovi and Omnogovi Aimaks. An annual report and an interim report were prepared.
Year 2007
The documentation of water sources will continue in the selected somons in the west and east of Mongolia. Water treatment technologies will be installed on selected water sources according to the work implementation project and after consultations with the Mongolian party.
Year 2008
The documentation of water sources will be completed. After the evaluation of the results of field investigations and after the multicriterial analyses of the individual somons, it will be decided on the installation of water treatment technologies or the drilling of new hydrogeological wells.
Year 2009
The installation of water treatment technologies at the selected sites. The completion of drilling work. Building work will be carried out on new structures and the existing structures will be insulated externally.
Year 2010
The completion of the installation of water treatment technologies and pumping equipment and the completion of construction work. A final presentation of the project of foreign cooperation will be held.
