The company GEOtest Brno, a.s. considers the continuous education of its employees as one of the means for increasing its competitiveness. It is an important tool for extending the necessary qualification of its employees, but also a means for the sustainability of jobs. Increasing the knowledge and skills of its staff plays a significant role in the company's strategy. The company creates favourable conditions for the education of its employees and spends the requisite finances. In the time of crisis, it also searches for other possibilities to finance the extension of the qualification of its employees. One of them is also the possibility to make use of invitations to participate in educational projects supported by the EU. Therefore, the company has decided to support the education of its employees by this project as well.
The target group and programme of educational courses of the project has resulted from the identification of the educational needs of the company's employees, ascertained within evaluating interviews. The management has chosen such a form in which the use of own trainers plays the prevailing role. The branch managers take care of all branches of activity of the company. They are, among others, the carriers of the expert knowledge and know-how of the appropriate branches and their use presents itself for passing the knowledge and experience gathered from their years-long work in the company on the other employees of the company. The educational activities will take place through internal trainers as well trainers of an external company.
The objective of the educational activities of the project is to deepen the specific professional knowledge and skills, to develop and increase the qualification level and key competences of the company's employees, to improve the quality of the offered services and to make the company's processes more effective. The current trend of contracts, leading to ever more complex deliveries, requires deeper and more complex knowledge and interdisciplinary collaboration. The need to acquire the knowledge from other branches is emerging ever more often. The goal of the project, therefore, is also the fact that all participants can obtain an overview of the expert work of other units in the company and acquire the knowledge of specific procedures and technologies applied in other branches from their colleagues. Better collaboration between the individual branches should be achieved in this way and hence the quality of the overall product of the company should be improved as well.
